Powering the Future of AI: Trayco and Firebird in Armenia
When a major AI data centre is taking shape in Armenia, the infrastructure behind it has to be built to last. Trayco was part of that story, delivering a complete cable management system for the Firebird Project, one of the most significant technology developments in the region.
The Firebird Project: A Regional AI Hub
The Firebird Project is Armenia’s largest AI data centre, a large-scale initiative bringing together Team Group, NVIDIA, and Firebird to create a regional AI supercomputing hub. It is more than a construction project. It is a statement about where the country is headed: a forward-looking, knowledge-driven economy with a visible role on the global technology stage.
For this kind of mission-critical infrastructure, there is no room for shortcuts. Every system, every component, every connection has to perform, reliably, safely, and for the long term.
Trayco’s Role: Cable Management for Mission-Critical Environments
Trayco supplied a complete cable support system for the Firebird Project, featuring cable trays, cable ladders, and wire meshes up to 1 metre wide. The solution was tailored to the specific demands of a large-scale data centre environment, where precision, durability, and technical reliability are non-negotiable.
At the core of the installation: THE FORCE, Trayco’s heavy-duty cable ladder
engineered for maximum strength and reliability. With support spans of up to 9 metres and an I-shaped profile built for industrial loads, THE FORCE is designed exactly for environments like this.
Why Ultra Galva? The Technical Choice That Matters in Data Centres
All components were finished in Ultra Galva: Trayco’s high-performance metallic coating that outperforms traditional hot-dip galvanizing in corrosion resistance, environmental impact, and long-term durability.
In a data centre context, the choice of Ultra Galva was also technically driven.
Electrolytically galvanized steel carries a risk of whisker formation: microscopic metal filaments that can grow on the surface over time and cause short circuits. With Ultra Galva, that risk is considered negligible, making it the right choice for sensitive, high-value infrastructure where electrical reliability is critical.
Partnership on the Ground
The Trayco team visited the site in Armenia to see the project firsthand and work closely with the local team at Team Systems. That kind of on-site collaboration - understanding the real constraints, the logistics, the installation context - is part of how Trayco operates. Not just as a supplier, but as a partner.
Built for What’s Next
The Firebird Project is a reminder of what is being built right now, and of the
infrastructure that makes it possible. AI does not run on code alone. It runs on data centres, on power systems, on cable management that holds everything together.
Trayco is proud to be part of that foundation. Masters in Cable Management, ready for what’s next.
